Foreigners choose Russia for plastic surgery

If for Russians the crisis has a negative impact, then for foreign citizens the situation is different: as a result of the devaluation of the ruble, people in Europe, the Arab countries and the United States have increasingly begun to choose Russia for plastic surgery. This is reported on the site My-surgeon.ru .

According to statistics provided by AOMMT , in 2016, 19,000 foreigners were surveyed in Russia, and by the end of the year this figure could increase by another two thousand.

So far, the main interest in Russian medicine for foreigners is the branch of dentistry. However, interest in plastic surgery continues to grow: for foreign citizens, prices for plastic surgery are on average lower by 13% compared with the countries from which they come.

Medical tourism is becoming one of the key issues for Russia. In 2017, a medical visa will be introduced, which will provoke an increase in the flow of foreign customers into the country. In 2016, income from foreigners who received medical care in Russia amounted to about 10 billion rubles. If the ruble remains the same against the euro and the dollar, the number of foreigners using Russian medicine will grow.
